Beckoning Path

My work concerns a sense of place experienced as I walk the local landscape considering both its beauty and industrial past. Reference to the visual reality of place provides a starting point for each canvas allowing the paint and communicative mark making of charcoal to give direction while floating shapes from oil bars provide an element of chance in the outcome.
